Prior to forming his own firm Mr. Melville was an associate at Deborah T. Bucknam and Associates P.C. from 2007-2009.  He has also  clerked with the Vermont Department of Labor and Industry under the direction of the Workers' Compensation Hearing officer and worked full-time in the legal department at Tyco Fire and Security in Boca Raton, Florida as an legal intern. In 2005 he accepted a position at Timken Aerospace in Lebanon NH as Principal Contracts Administration Analyst where he reviewed and negotiated contracts (domestic and international) and ensured exports complied with U.S export regulations including the EAR, ITAR, and OFAC regulations. In late 2006 he joined Concepts NREC in Wilder, VT as a Senior Contracts Specialist working again with export regulations and contracts.

Mr. Melville attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah where he earned his B.A. in International Business in 2002 and a M.B.A. in 2005. He received his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2005 where he served in various student leadership roles.

Mr. Melville is been licensed to practice law in Vermont State and Federal Courts. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Vermont Bar Association, and the J. Rueben Clark Law Society.

Mr. Melville currently serves as the Vermont Coordinator for the Export Legal Assistance Network and is a member of Vermont International Trade Alliance. He teaches an Export/Import course at Champlain College in Burlington, and writes occasional articles for Vermont Strictly Business on trade topics. 

Mr. Melville is active in the community. Currently he sits on the Boards of Directors of the Upper Valley United Way, the Northeast Kingdom Youth Services, and the AVA Gallery and Art Center in Lebanon NH. He also serves as the Vermont Young Republicans Chairman. In the past he has served as the Caledonia County Republican Committee Chairman and the Vice-Chair of the Windsor County Republican Committee. He is also involved in Boy Scouting, is a youth advocate for Americorps and the Boys and Girls Club, and serves in numerous positions at his church.

Mr. Melville is fluent in Spanish and resides in St. Johnsbury with his wife Michelle and their five children.
